Lighting a vela for a Hispanicize 2011 pass…

As you can see from my post about upcoming SM Events- Hispanicize is coming to LA next month! And I (Margo) am totally planning to go! But…some unforseen expenses this month have seriously jeopardized my “ticket fund.” Alas, I was starting to give up hope. BUT-tonight (that’s right, TONIGHT) I happened to run into the lovely Eva Smith of Tech Food Life at a blogger wine tasting (ok-so it’s not all bad!) and she told me that over at Mami 2 Mommy-they’re having a giveaway for a Hispanicize pass, but the contest ends tonight-TONIGHT!!! Just think, if it were not for my love of free wine, I would never have run into Eva and learned about this golden opportunity I have to believe it was meant to be!

So-because I am a firm believer in fate, synchronicity and the power of the vela, I lit my candle and sat down to write this post. Social Media has had such a positive impact on my life in so many ways and I find that I always seem to get 10x the return on every lesson and tip I pick up from other folks in the field. I also know that for all the hours I spend reading blogs, getting to meet the people you follow in person is an experience you cannot put a price on. I am so grateful for the people Social Media has brought into my life that it is hard to pass up the chance to meet more of these extraordinary people.  If you check out my blogs: this one, Nacho Mama’s Blog and The Blissful Bed and Bath as well as the blogs I write regular columns for: San Diego Momfia and Rock On Mommies-I hope you’ll see someone who has as much to conrtibute to the conference as she has to learn.

1. To tweet about Hispanicize before, during and after the event until my thumbs cramp up, then I will tweet some more.

2. To post about the conference on ALL my blogs

3. To wear my Pan Dulce earrings, but not my chanclas

4. To treat anyone from Hispanicize.com to carnitas from Porkyland if they happen to make it down to San Diego

I don’t need a place to stay or transportation, just a conference pass would make a huge difference in this bloggers life!

And the earrings? They’re awesome. Trust me.
